Capture Liverpool is Artistic competition open to all ages
and features photographers
and also visual artists, illustrators and designers. The winners of the competition will
have their artwork exhibited and published as part of the Look2011 festival programme
of events. The competition will highlight the creative talent within the city of Liverpool.
Ant-e-Art was one of the proud winners of this competition with their entry entitled “Zanzibar”

What the organisers said about the event:-
“Organised by the NW photography network Redeye, it received
370 submissions. The images were whittled down to just six
winners who were announced today at Cafe Sports Express. “
The winners were Doug Wright ‘s photo, Liverpool Football Family, Geoff Crossley’s Shoes FM,
Chris White’s Misty Sunrise, and Africa Bocos’ The Zanzibar took the honours in the adults section.
“This is the first international photography festival in Liverpool,”
said photographer Colin McPherson who is heading the directors of
Look11. “We have been delighted with the response and the quality
of the photographs we’ve received.”
Chris White, took his picture of Liverpool Cathedral on his way to
work in the early hours of the morning. “I snapped it with a
compact camera,” he said.
“Always have a camera with you. You never know when the
opportunity for a great photo presents itself.”
